I waited for a Saturday with my kids to pick up my custom birthday cake. It’s a Milk Bar dupe by Oliver’s Desserts and it was amazing. I’m freezing the leftovers for monthly treats 🩷

Short story. I started hypertension meds last year, it’s definitely genetic. This winter I thought I had an outbreak of foot fungus and warts. Turns out it’s perniosis because the meds cause poor circulation esp when it’s cold. I bought heated slippers and it is LIFECHANGING. 37 is the new 85 ✌🏼

Last night I enthusiastically ate 4 pieces of pizza, due to very heavy squat recovery needs. I couldn’t stop myself. Fast forward to midnight and I’m spending the first few minutes of my birthday stuck in the bathroom because my stomach was angry with me. I guess this is 37.

Instead of allowing my kids to wallow, I am teaching them to do something with their boredom. This is a 6 year olds artistic representation of how she feels. And I’m proud of her ☺️

My detox from FB has consisted of copious amount of podcasts. I have never listened to a podcast in my life and in two days I’ve completed 10. Ranging in brain and political sciences so far. I’ve learned A LOT.

I can’t wait until sickness season is over. These kids are passing germs back and forth, being miserable and missing school/activities.

It’s a strange fun new world when your oldest child is writing DnD campaigns with a friend and you find yourself learning new things from kids. Artemis also wants to campaign.
