At day 28, 93% of recipients of the single-dose therapy were free of parasites in their blood, compared with 90% of multiple-dose recipients.

Now Walgreens has stopped giving most workers paid vacation on Thanksgiving, Christmas and other major holidays.

Private equity takeovers are a disaster for workers, and customers.

Prohibited activities include advising Chinese graduate students. For reference, a recent Georgetown report estimated 16% of STEM graduate students in the US are Chinese nationals.

This would take out entire fields at the knees, which is perhaps the point.

Kind of wild that while food assistance was withheld from millions of families, one Trump-supporting billionaire (Ellison) saw his net worth grow more this year than the entire SNAP budget. And the YTD gains of the other four richest men would’ve fully covered salaries for all 2M federal employees.

Insurers are down because a one-year tax credit extension credits won't stabilize ACA market.
Folks on the federal exchange have until December 15th to sign up. And passing credits at year-end does nothing to resolve uncertainty for setting 2027 rates.

I’ve been saying that Democrat should never have cast the stakes of the shutdown as ACA premium subsidies when the public understood it the stakes as trying to throttle an Administration otherwise reveling in the unfettered power over spending and violence it had appropriated for itself

Hilarious seeing @punchbowlnews.bsky.social provide cover for @schumer.senate.gov here. The Democratic whip did not "break" with his party. This was orchestrated by Schumer with a unified caucus.
This was a huge moment. Eight Senate Democrats broke with the party in voting to end the shutdown in exchange for a commitment from Senate Majority Leader John Thune to hold a vote by mid-December on expiring Obamacare subsidies — an offer Thune first made weeks ago. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who’s faced tremendous criticism from both the left and right during the impasse, was a no. That’s not saving Schumer from progressive fury, however.

I asked Georgetown law prof David Super wtf is going on with this latest demand for states to claw back benefits already sent out.
He says the law doesn't allow for this, and if the USDA is mad that states already sent out SNAP money, too bad—they were following USDA's own guidance. Full comments:

A Dem Congress should pass a law banning anyone who is currently serving with ICE or CBP from future Fed employment.

The Feds should condition all future Fed grants to police depts on blanket refusals to hire ppl who were in ICE/CBP right now.
