Be nice and visit my sister’s coffee shop in Iowa City for cozy coffee by a fireplace this weekend. It’s her birthday! Here’s photos from the last time I went. It’s even cuter now. There’s a haunted cemetery near the deer www.presscoffeeco.com

Yikes 😬 an official U.S. government account just referred to Americans as “imbecilic morons.” That’s… a choice.

What’s happening in Burlington is yet another example of working class people being lied to and left behind. Whether it’s corporations like CNH or the politicians they’ve bought, the sad truth is they don’t care about us.

Now more than ever we should push our reps and demand Universal Healthcare For All. Like 30 developed nations have it - we totally could, too.

Thank you Pints and Diplomacy for having me – be sure to check out their page as they release more clips from our conversation.

Until next time. 🍻

Not just that, but all budget negotiations are meaningless now since Trump is unencumbered by old notions like "appropriations" or "oversight". We (SSA) have had a budget all year, but we're unable to even buy toilet paper in our offices because purchase cards have a $1 limit. It's a joke.

Q: Will you assure House Democrats they'll get a vote on ACA subsidies by a date certain?

MIKE JOHNSON: Ah -- no. I'm not promising anyone anything.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Agree.

Sen Hassan, asked what will happen if Republicans don't carry out the deal, "Well, shame on them."

This is not what people were mobilizing for on Oct 18.

Ossoff knows that people WANT him fight to keep healthcare premiums down. No Georgian wants to pay more in healthcare.

He’s in the toughest race of any Dem. If he can do this, why can’t the other Dems?

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.
