I don’t want to be on a picket line today. I’d rather be teaching my students or in the lab with @kilpatrickgroup.bsky.social - not standing in the rain outside my own workplace.

But the threat of compulsory redundancies and cuts to @leicesterchem.bsky.social 🇬🇧🥈leaves us no real choice.

Congratulations Gunnar! Absolutely deserved! Have a nice, happy and successful time in Leipzig.
Happy to announce that I accepted the offer from @unileipzig.bsky.social for a Heisenberg-Professorship (W3) in molecular inorganic chemistry. The lab will move in summer and we hope to quickly broaden our work on low-coordinate/low-valent chemistry in bond activation, catalysis and magnetism.

Thanks again for the nice, insightful talk! It was indeed a really pleasant day, both scientifically and on the personal basis! 🤓🤗
Had a nice, long day at the chemistry department of @humboldtuni.bsky.social. Great insights into current research by @christianlimberg.bsky.social, @braungroup.bsky.social, @joshabbenseth.bsky.social, Ray group and others. The place still feels like home although I left it more than ten year ago.
