Tonic is my best boy rescue dog. I am a pharmacist disabled by long covid. She/her . Love the mountains. Albertan, but not like that. Canada is not broken.

Vaccination reduces the chances of long covid and is safe. Please think about their future and vaccinate.
A study with data from ~14 million children shows that COVID19 infection is significantly more harmful to kids’ hearts than the vaccine.

Marty Makary falsely alleged that “children died” because from COVID19 vaccine. Whomever told him that failed to account for SARS-CoV-2 infections.

As a Canadian researcher/academic, it's beyond discouraging that the federal gov't is rolling out the welcome mat for foreign assistant professors, doctoral students and postdocs, while *cutting* domestic research funding and doing nothing to support those of us who are already here, doing the work.

Great news Alberta!

You’re getting a provincial police force that nobody wanted!

Sure, it costs millions more to set up and operate, but we don’t care about fiscal responsibility. The UCP needs a police force we can control and answers to us!

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

COVID vaccines save lives, reduce the burden on hospitals and can reduce your risk of Post Covid Condition. AND it saves money. The Alberta government can not justify restricting and charging for the vaccine with facts. They are just catering to their base.
The Government of Alberta has referred to COVID vaccines as “an expensive intervention,” to justify a vaccine policy based on pre-ordering, radically reducing community access and charging most Albertans to receive the vaccine. Here are the facts. www.albertadoctors.org/news/publica...

Register for your flu and covid vaccine-.for next year! UCP is really catering to their anti-vax base
as possible from getting vaccinated.

The ONLY reasons to do this are to get more people infected, overwhelm the public healthcare system, destroy it, and usher in private healthcare.

There are zero defensible economic or efficiency reasons to do this. Zero.

It’s anti-life.

Canada Post “lost” 1 billion dollars last year?

How about, “it cost Canadians 1 billion dollars to have a national postal service” which works out to costing about $25 a year per person (population of Canada in 2024 = 40 million). Seems like a pretty reasonable cost to me.
"Canada Post is on track to lose money" Hum. Duh. It cost less than a toonie to send a letter across Canada.

"Canada Post is a service and not a business" was common knowledge until late stage capitalism brain rotted most people into think if it ain't making money for shareholders, it's failing.

It was one of the most psychedelic, bizarre and beloved Canadian children's shows ever made.
Structured like a sketch comedy show around the comedic genius of Billy Van, it is well remembered even to this day.

💯 And meeting with an author of Project 2025 is something I would be enraged at Poilievre doing, not to criticize Carney would be ridiculous
Hi. I know I've said this before, but it bears repeating: we have to be able to criticize Mark Carney without living in fear that doing so will help Poilievre or weaken Canada. He is our Prime Minister. Out of anyone, he deserves to be watched and critiqued. We should all be dying on this hill.

Looks like we are in trouble. Care to share any insight @coreyhogan.ca ? Not what I would call elbows up.
If cabinet is hoping the guy who wrote the fascist playbook will give advice on stopping fascism then we are in trouble.
Adorno reminds us that clever people were the first to be suckered by the fascist playbook because they thought they could outsmart it.
There is nothing hidden in their plan.
