Trump signing an EO dismantling the Department of Education is straight out of Project 2025. Even though this will hurt red states the most, Republicans don’t care because they thrive on an uneducated voter base. The less education you have, the less you know, making them easier to manipulate.

Trump lacks the authority to eliminate the Department of Education; he requires congressional approval for that. However, he recognizes that uneducated children result in uninformed voters and is aware that the GOP will back him.
