If you look at the ridiculous case studies they dredged up & the desperate attempts to hang Reeves for ‘lying’ about the rationale behind a policy she *did not introduce*, you might work out why right-wing media is straining *not* to talk about the finer detail of her (unremarkable) budget.

Oh FFS @lewisgoodall.com @lbc.co.uk do we have to do another 2 hour show on the budget
Surely it’s been done to death now

Huge respect to the papers for finding both an 88 year old worried about the tax bill on her 6 bedroom Kensington house and a 20 year old fretting about only being able to save £12k a year tax free.
Top work all around. These are not easy case studies to find.

Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

One benchmark of a democracy is whether it is willing to hold those who have served at the very highest levels to account.

Can you imagine the United States ever doing something like this?

This is great from my south Wales colleague Torsten. Don’t listen to the snake oil salesmen of Reform with their easy answers for industrial communities. It is Labour that is making sure the UK steel industry has a future.

Mixed families are common. Blended families are everywhere. Blue Labour misses that our country changed - and we’re still bloody proud of it.

So yeah. This proud working class Red Wall trade unionist MP is not Blue Labour - and neither is my party.

I like patriotism, tough but fair on immigration and crime, strong defence, reindustrialisation and pride in place - all Blue Labour (though not just Blue Labour)

But…
