I’m Peter Chatzky, and I’m running for Congress to fight for NY-17. I’ve beat Trump before, and I can help beat him again. #ny17 #chatzkyforcongress #trump #lawler
It’s time for Sen. Schumer to step down from leadership. Caving on healthcare is giving up on Americans.

I am calling on Senator Schumer to step down as Minority Leader of the Senate.

Delivering food, delivering results.

Once again, the party elites let down the people they represent. Eight Democratic Senators decided to vote to reopen the government without a guarantee that ACA subsidies would be funded. I’m not surprised, but I’m disappointed.

We need to return power to the people.

Today I had the privilege to honor many veterans at a pinning service at a local Atria.

Each of these gentleman risked the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation and our values.

On this Veterans Day, we salute all who served so honorably.

Today is Veterans Day. Today and everyday we honor those who serve our country. Thank you to the veterans across the Hudson Valley for your service.

Democrats cannot cave - not now not ever. We must keep fighting.

For 40 days, the Government has been shut down because Republicans like Mike Lawler want to decimate your healthcare.

If Democrats give in, then keeping the Government shutdown while people have suffered would have been for nothing.

Last week was another great Abundance Tour event in Putnam Valley. We had an intriguing conversation about different ways the federal government can be a partner in bringing a diversity of housing to our local communities, and what that can look like to create sustainable change.

Thank you to all those that contributed to make our food drive a success. Neighbors helping neighbors. Beautiful.
November 8, 2025 at 12:05 AM
A massive thank you to everyone who came to our rally for affordability last night and for everyone who brought non-perishables to donate to the Ossining Food Pantry !

While SNAP benefits remaining in question, it is critical that we stand up for our community and take care of our neighbors.
November 7, 2025 at 2:05 PM
Restore the cuts to SNAP so I can stop pulling my hair out!

Thank you to Food & Water Watch, and all of those who attended the protest in Peekskill today.
November 6, 2025 at 10:05 PM
Tonight, I am hosting a food drive to support members of our community affected by the cuts in SNAP funding. All proceeds go to the Ossining Food Pantry.

This election day we showed how Dems can show up and turn out- let’s keep that momentum going in 2026.
November 6, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Tomorrow is Election Day! If you have not yet voted, make sure you have a plan to vote! You can find your polling location here at elections.ny.gov.

Over the weekend, I had a great time knocking on doors for local Democrats and getting people out to vote!
November 3, 2025 at 6:01 PM
Canvass and make a new best friend. More importantly, vote. Election Day is Tuesday, November 4. (Good practice for Congressional voting in 2026.)

Another successful Abundance Tour stop! Thank you to everyone for braving the storm and engaging in a thoughtful discussion around housing solutions for every day people, and thank you to Taylor Mandelbaum, Treasurer of the Nyack Housing Authority for joining me!
October 31, 2025 at 2:05 PM
As Deputy Mayor, I work with my colleagues across the aisle, and have to convince them to see my side from time to time.

Usually, I have to work a little harder to persuade them.
October 30, 2025 at 3:04 PM
Join me this Thursday for my next stop of the Abundance Tour! I will be joined by Treasurer of the Nyack Housing Authority, Taylor Mandelbaum, as we discuss housing needs in Rockland County. To RSVP, click the link here: action.chatzkyforcongress.com/a/new-city-a...

Early voting in NY runs until November 2. Check voterlookup.elections.ny.gov for early voting locations near you.

Election Day is Tuesday November 4, and polls are open from 6AM - 9PM.

This year, support your local candidates. Next year, vote for Congress, including me, Peter Chatzky, in NY-17!
October 27, 2025 at 9:07 PM
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. I support organizations providing critical services for victims of DV, trafficking, and rape, like Rockland’s Center for Safety and Change. Mike Lawler’s support of the Big Ugly Bill removed critical funding for organizations like these.
October 24, 2025 at 9:57 PM
Early voting begins tomorrow! Turning out big this November for our local democrats will send a big message to Republicans and give us the momentum we need to take back the House in 2026.

These tariffs are giving me a headache 🤕 .
October 23, 2025 at 8:43 PM
Huge thanks to Chef Christian Petroni for feeding our supporters who came out last night. So much enthusiasm for our plans to oust Mike Lawler in NY-17, as we rebuild trust in federal government.
October 22, 2025 at 4:46 PM
Restore the cuts that will leave 10 million Americas uninsured, and get back to work.
October 21, 2025 at 9:42 PM
Thank you @davidhogg.bsky.social for hosting the Future First Townhall right here in Tarrytown! Listening to young voters and their perspectives is so integral in creating a government that works for all people, and conversations like these are where we can start.
