Writing as a new father has been great! I just come up with an idea, think about it for three months and then.... Think about it some more?

I like to search "gifts for mom" around the holidays for fun and whew boy... Candle warmers, massagers, and novelty candles galore. Tough being a mom during the holidays.

I've decided a lot of the worlds problems are being caused because we keep suppressing Haters ™️ and reinforcing anti-intellectualism. From here on, I'm increasing my hating ten fold.

The fact that using communist as an insult is back in vogue is fucking hilarious, couldn't even come up with a new one so they had to revive McCarthyism

My metric for how bad the consumer side economy is doing is the price of deodorant. Old Spice is up to !! $9 !! a stick.

Every time I pivot my life, some CEO start-up comes along with an AI idea to try and make it redundant. Marketing? AI. Writing? AI. Counseling? Believe it or not, they're building an AI. CEOs are pushing for more blue collar jobs now, which will become saturated by younger folk taking their advice.

Superman was great because we need a boy scout. Why do people love compounding a cynical world with more cynicism? Misery loves company but DAMN let's lighten up a little.

Just finished my last front to back draft of my first book which I had to do after my editor was forced to drop all her projects and I'm proud of how it turned out! Now I just need someone to read the damn thing #writingcommunity #betareaderswanted

Dear experts. chatGTP uses em dashes because it stole everything from writers, who also use them. FFS.

Hearing CEOs talk about how safe blue collar is and that, no, in fact, it's white collar at risk is laughable. Blue collar jobs were already destroyed and sent overseas years ago. If white collar truly does collapse, those with the aptitude will snatch up these supposed trade jobs, devaluing them.

Metaphor: Re Fantazio is so good but I got to a certain late game dragon and got so mad I stayed angry even when I won so I'll be taking a break

Don't understand the initial negativity around Mickey 17. It was really good! Exactly the kind of freshness needed to inject some life into film.

Finished Clair Obscur last night. Definitive GotY. I just don't think anything can beat it out. So incredibly good, and the ending... Just wow.

Just got my first query rejection email and it brightened my mood considerably! I didn't even think they'd look at it tbh. Here's to a hundred more and maybe a yes somewhere down the line. #writingcommunity

Just realized my Anglo-Saxon brain added an a to the end of Clair Obscur on my last two post, I'll repent by enjoying a nice pastry

Might be too early to say, but Clair Obscura is hopefully an indicator the current wave of nostalgia based entertainment is tapering and people are craving new and fresh again, the Oblivion remaster aside.

Still haven't come to terms with something that just happened in Clair Obscura. I'm in complete denial.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is just phenomenal. Every single fight, cutscene, or corner turned is magic. Just an all around beautiful experience!

I'm in awe of Oblivion Remastered. It's such a beautiful mixture of everything that made the original great without any drastic changes to ruin what made it great.

I mean just LOOK at it. My old pal, the Oblivion gate with a new coat of paint.

He really said "I can't panic in this quicksand or she'll get the ick"
“I knew not to panic. I have to be a macho man.” A Michigan man found himself trapped in quicksand. It led to him making things official with his girlfriend.
Man Sinks in Quicksand and Emerges With a Girlfriend
A Michigan man who ended up waist-deep on an unstable beach was rescued, and found himself in a relationship.

Just unexpectedly beat Blue Prince. The RNG lined up so perfectly I managed to get everywhere I needed and I almost wish it hadn't. So much left to uncover. I'll press forward anyways.

Something about Blue Prince I noticed, if you sit idle on main long enough a trailer plays. Feel like that's way less common place than it used to be. Do that with any game in the 360 era and you'd be accused of sneaking away from chores to game more.

The Blue Prince might be one of the most interesting games I've played in years.
