🌲Nature Photographer, photography educator dwelling mostly in Yosemite National Park. Author of “Get Intimate: Making a Personal Statement with Intimate Landscapes.”
Just back from Colorado, where I spoke at the inaugural Women’s Winter Conference in Estes Park—such an inspiring event! Spent time with family in Vail, got in a few ski days, and just enjoyed the mountains.

Caught this fleeting light in Rocky Mountain NP—barely in time!

How do you like BlueSky?

During a quick stop in Yosemite Valley, a passing snowstorm dusted fresh spring greens in white—a fleeting study in contrasts. Tender oak leaves, full of new life, stood against the stark granite cliffs, ancient and unmoving. A moment where seasons collided—soft and strong, fleeting and timeless.

I have seven pieces (including this one) in a new exhibit, "Winter Rune: The Poetry of Light", at the Ansel Adams Gallery. If you are in Yosemite Valley, be sure to stop by and take in the exhibit. It runs from now until March 1, 2025. There's no snow here right now, but it sure is cold!!!

Ok, let give this BlueSky thing a go. Here is Jackson Lake in Tetons National Park bathed in the pink hues of sunrise, as seen from my vantage point atop the dam last summer. What do you think?
