Methodists from across the UK met today in Birmingham at the housing and homelessness gathering to discuss the Church's response to the housing crisis. So much enthusiasm to use Methodist buildings for housing

If your Christianity causes you to be offended by someone asking the most powerful person in the country to be merciful towards the powerless, then you have profoundly misunderstood the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The best thing about joining bluesky from twitter is I have found an online international Methodist community. When watching the inauguration today I thought about Methodists in the USA and how you will continue in the wesleyan tradition of being advocates for justice.

In Savannah Georgia they have a monument to John Wesley, founder of the Methodist faith. I didn’t realize he was connected to this community.

Funny how many of today’s leaders forget that our country was founded on FREEDOM of religion due to being persecuted.

I’m honored to serve as a United Methodist Bishop. I was honored to contribute to this letter. I affirm this letter, on behalf of immigrants who are all children of God and who have made ours a better nation. I affirm this letter as an act of integrity. It’s important that we speak this weekend.

I HATE religion, but shout out to the Methodist Church in my neighborhood for creating tiny houses for homeless people, despite the batshit Republicans in the neighborhood trying to put a stop to it.

They were afraid their already overinflated house value would go down.

My parents live opposite a Methodist Chapel.

Knock on the door, “do you have a big black cat”

Instant fear as we worry Fat Frank has been injured.

No, the little sod has simply moved into the manger of the nativity scene and is hissing at anyone trying to get in the building

I’m near Lake of the Ozarks. There’s a huge rebel flag on the highway near Eldon.

The Methodist Church is paying for a billboard right next to it. It says, “Hate divides. Love Unites”

You love to see it.
