I peeled, cored chopped and froze another 2 kgs of these beauties this morning. We've given away over a hundred and there's over a hundred to go. Two trees. An amazing and scrumptious harvest this year.

I've no more interest in what unnamed sources have to say than I have in what Tufton Street grifters have to say, 2 cheeks of the same arse.

Each time I see a proudly flown Union Jack or St George's flag, I see, as well as aggression, ignorance & self-delusion. People telling themselves a tale about a make-believe past whose sporadic positive aspects weren't what the tellers believe. Squalid fingernails clinging to an idiot's fairy tale.

Not sure our "tidier manure heaps" will cut it here in Oakham, but proud of our rose, salvia and daffodil planting scheme on plot borders. Guaranteed seasonal colour.
Brookfield Allotment Association team has already completed some work to improve the site and attract more tenants: a new BBQ and seating area, more planters and boxes, a new pond area and more than 100 trees planted to create a natural woodland 👏👏

The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

New piece from me.

This is very insightful. From one who knows the BBC better than most. I agree that their UK and US current affairs content has become turgid and unimaginative. Bias is not the issue.

I’ve written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage urging them to condemn Donald Trump’s attack on the BBC.

The BBC belongs to Britain, not Trump. We must defend it together.

Everything on our news agenda is being driven by a corrupted disinformation machine, run by a billionaire who sponsors Tommy Robinson and who keeps trying to foment civil war in the UK.

And incredibly our MPs & news providers stay there.

THAT is the problem. Not some bad editing choice on the BBC.

Apparently the remembrance poppy is being weaponised by the far right like the St George's flag. So here's a 70 year old absolute weapon sporting the poppy at parkrun on remembrance weekend. #oblivious 😆

Future task inevitability. A mercurial genius on our allotments site designed, installed and maintained a well water storage and distribution system using scavenged materials. He has passed away suddenly and I think I will have to become de facto hydrologist. OMG 😳

Vital piece of investigative reporting from Sky. They've uncovered the X algorithm which feeds users extremist right wing material from the moment they join the site. It is a far-right radicalisation engine, by design.

Mamdani is another gooner! 😲
Democrat candidate Zohran Mamdani is the new mayor of New York.

Last month, the 34-year-old spoke to @adamcrafton.bsky.social to discuss World Cup ticket prices, the Premier League title race and his love of Arsenal.

Huge wins for the Democrats in state elections across the US last night.

Chaotic authoritarianism is not popular.
A 15-point win for VA gov. A 5-point win for VA AG in a race he was expected to lose. A 13-point win for NJ gov, in a race that was expected to be close. An outright majority in NYC in a three-way race. A 30-point win for Prop 50 in CA. #BlueWave #Election2025

This sort of expensive nonsense is everywhere on the HS2 Phase 1 route. I'm so glad I moved from Buckinghamshire before the juggernaut really got going. Failure at every level of government and governance. No public good whatsoever for any element of it.
