Meanwhile, the NDP are rigging their leadership contest. Yves Engler hasn't been allowed to run, attend the debates, turn out at the conventions. The NDP is still being run by a small group of elites.
Canada's true crisis is the everyday emergency of just trying to get by in an impossible economy.

I’m running for NDP leader so we can transform a system rigged for the rich—together.

We need a government that serves the many, not the money.

Today on Volts: I've had more requests to cover this than almost any other topic in the pod's history, so now, at long last, balcony solar! We dig into how "plug-in solar" took off in Europe & how it's making its way to the US, starting in Utah. Backyard DIY types rejoice!
What's the deal with balcony solar?
Cora Stryker joins me to explain how "plug-in" solar took Europe by storm and is finally, via Utah (?), making its way to America.

I spend a couple of days without reading the news and miss a false flag attack in the U.S. Far too convenient that it was an Afghan allowed in under a Biden directive after the U.S. pulled out of their failed operation in Afghanistan. This will only allow for more fascist directives from the DJT WH.

Since when does a 'cease-fire' agreement allow one aggressor to keep shooting?
NEW: Israel has committed at least 497 ceasefire violations, killing at least 342 Palestinians since the U.S.-brokered ceasefire between Israel & Hamas went into effect on Oct. 10.

An Israeli ‘kamikaze’ drone targeted a car on a busy Gaza City street on Nov. 22, killing 5 Palestinians.

This has nothing to do with keeping Tanille Johnston in the race. The NDP is ~$23 Million in debt. The longer each candidate stays in the leadership race, the greater chance they have to raise more money for the party.
🚨NEWS: NDP Leadership Candidate Tony McQuail had a message for his donors on my podcast today:

Don't send him any more money, for now.

Send it to fellow candidate @votetanille.bsky.social until she raises enough to survive the next cut off.

Watch as Tony made news (and almost made us all cry):

China's electrification transition is dramatic, and leaving us in the dust.

So much for LNG-powered trucks! China and soon India are leapfrogging to the new. And our leaders pushing LNG and retreating on ZEVs look sad & vision-less in comparison.

China's diesel trucks shift to electric. This could change global LNG and diesel demand.
China is replacing its diesel trucks with electric models faster than expected, potentially reshaping global fuel demand and the future of heavy transport.

When MLA Jeremy Valeriote toured the proposed route of the PRGT pipeline this summer, he learned from residents that they'd been denied a Health Impact Study because there weren't enough "human receptors" to justify one.

Today, he brought those concerns to the legislature in Victoria.
