NC legislators have voted in favor of private school vouchers for all, regardless of income level. This is wrong because it diverts much needed funds from public schools, and supports segregation. Thank you, Gov. Cooper for the veto. They should be ashamed for overturning it.
Northeast Academy is a small Christian school in rural NC.
Last school year, it received $438,500 from the state-funded private school voucher program.
As of 2022, “the school’s enrollment was 99% white in a county that runs about 40% white.”
This is their plan for America. 👀
