I finally deactivated my 🐦 account. I joined over 14 years ago to follow cycling races and keep up to date on news of home. I stayed this long to see how things went through the election. Today I logged in just to see garbage ads, news I don’t need, & conspiracy theories. That was it. I’m done.

Inventorying boxes that have been returned from our partner university. Just opened one that is a mix of two years on the same site and none of the bags have year labels. Thankfully this is one of the few collections that came with its artifact inventory, but 🙇‍♀️. Gonna be a long day.

Made the annual moody visit to the favorite cemetery. Every year this mausoleum looks a little worse, but it was really sad to see some facing and the cornice have fallen off.

Finally got out this morning with the camera for an overdue meander. Akron is a melancholy place in winter, but it’s also my favorite time to explore and document the landscape. This lone surviving house overlooks the old Goodyear mixing plant now in the process of being demolished. 🏭🏚️📸

Due to it being report writing season I can’t think of anything meaningful or witty to say for my first post. So here is a photo of today’s desk clutter. #americanarchitecture #buildingsarchaeology 🤷‍♀️
