So #Trump boasts that the U.S. navy blew up a boat in the Caribbean, killing 11 people, claiming they were Venezuelan drug runners. And posts a snuff video of the event online. No investigation, no trial, no due process. And we're just supposed to believe him? And let him get away with it?

Okay, awesome! A sometime member of the Orpheus community over the past 30+ years, can we celebrate why this is happening, and why here, and in this way? Orpheus is an important cultural institution in Toronto - but is there more going on here than what seems like a puff piece?
Yesterday I joined many choral nerd friends to celebrate the naming of Orpheus Choir Lane near Bloor & Bathurst in #Toronto. Choral #music matters! The arts matter! Make a point of #singing every day even if it’s just in the shower.

The U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services has repeatedly claimed: “If you’re healthy, it’s almost impossible to die from an infectious disease in modern times.”

That is dangerously false.

This election, U.S.-style disinformation and foreign interference are flooding into Canada. It’s designed to divide us, mislead us, and tilt the election toward those who are willing to lie to win.

Sounds about right. Link to study follows.
New study finds that people think less critically when reading news that supports their political beliefs, making them more likely to believe misinformation. When they see news that goes against their views, they put in more effort to analyze it carefully, making them better at spotting misinfo.

Two years ought to do the trick to finish off the Republican Senate and Congress for longer than they can currently imagine possible.
It’s only been 6 weeks since the Inauguration. Republicans are not suddenly going to flip. The blowback from Trump voters would be enormous. They won’t change a thing until life gets so difficult for their MAGA constituents, that they send them them message that they are finished in Congress.
