The tuition increase, if approved, would begin with the incoming 2026 class. Students already at UNC wouldn't see an increase. Out-of-state students would see a 10% tuition increase under the proposal.

The shopping center was built in a flood plain. I’m not sure that there’s anything that could “protect” them.
Nearly four months since Tropical Storm Chantal, some businesses at Eastgate Crossing in Chapel Hill were able to reopen this month.

As they celebrate reopening, they also wonder what will be done to protect them from another storm event.
