@sabreenajm.bsky.social hello! The Spanish women’s basketball league also conflicts with the WNBA calendar and it is much more relevant in Europe now than even the French league

Most French stars like Salaün & Carla Leite & Astier & Ayayi have left the French league before they even had to

@richardcohen.bsky.social do you know if the league will raise the minimum salaries for players like Fiebich on rookie deals like they did last time? Do they have to do that again? Or could those players be ripped off?

@richardcohen.bsky.social thoughts on the medical care provided to Sabally after the neck/head injury? Shocking to me that she didn’t get a stretcher or wheelchair and was sorta dragged off the court but would like a less biased perspective

Side eyeing the media people that liked this post and aren’t intelligent enough to realize that CC speaking Tuesday would have taken all the attention away from what Phee said in whole.

The players deserve so much better than the folks that cover it
This is fine I guess, but in retrospect people weren't wrong for saying she pretty easily could've provided a response like this Tuesday afternoon/evening
Caitlin Clark: "We need great leadership at this time across all levels... this is the most important time in this league's history... Phee said it all"

She hadn't heard the story Napheesa Collier shared on what Cathy Engelbert said about her.

This is such a straw man. Injuries aren't just caused by single missed ref call. They're caused by repeat stresses and physical extremes that result from the ludicrous level of physicality. www.espn.com/wnba/story/_...
WNBA sources: No link between injuries and refs
As WNBA officials face renewed criticism, league sources told ESPN that their data does not show a correlation between recent playoff injuries and missed calls by officials.

Why are American WNBA fans so pro-police?

@aghaubner.bsky.social

This is flat out not true. Satou and AT have played in the exact same number of games for the Mercury
September 11, 2025 at 9:39 PM
@sabreenajm.bsky.social FYI, CC and Paige already did play each other this year in the pros
August 18, 2025 at 12:02 PM
@aghaubner.bsky.social Satou missed one game for personal reasons (and Nyara missed the same one notably)

Not sure the long speculative segment about her was warranted

Players miss 1 game for personal reasons all the time and a lot of backlash against Satou is just based on her being outspoken

Yikes. That's the kind of thing that can get your franchise a reputation. And from an organisation people have largely only had good things to say about.
