One of the greatest artists that continues to inspire me is Pablo Picasso. Based on his work "plant de tomates" I made this linocut this week.

Not too long ago we visited Graufthal (FR) Maisons des Rochers rock houses. Homes created by carving sandstone cliffs. Inhabited till 1958 but still preserved. Here an impression of one of the rooms

I found an image on the internet and liked it so much that I made a linocut of it. Fill in the dots, I trust that we all have someone or something that can ruins our day sometimes or more often. I wish you all a very nice day and week.

It has been a long time ago but still remember there's nothing like the freedom of riding a motorbike! The wind in your hair, the road stretching ahead, and the pure joy of the ride, it’s the perfect way to feel alive and free.

Throwing it back to my very first car: a dark red Citroën 2CV! I captured this memory through a linocut. This little car holds so many stories, like to share them in this creative way. What was your first car?

Happy New Year!

As an artist, each new year feels like a blank canvas, full of vibrant possibilities and untold stories. May 2025 bring color, joy, and beauty into your life!

Cheers,
Cees

The linocut is an abstract from a photo taken at Breskens (NL) beach.
