Looking more closely, something is wrong with the teeth... And those parts of it that are further back, hidden in the darkness - definitely wrong. Juno's Grand Fusilliers, an IG regiment mentioned in the 40k RPGs' rulebooks that didn't receive an illustration (only an officer or planetary official was pictured). They come off as glorified cops for an oppressive elite, so very French !

Fan/concept art of an "old blood" of Juno's Grand Fusilliers. Their basic uniform consists of a purple jacket with black facings and white piping, the cut of which is inspired by French World Wars officers. Along with it, they are wearing tan trousers and black leather webbing, with matching gloves, boots and gaiters. Their kit includes a socket bayonet in a leather frog for their fancy Lebel lasrifle, a laspistol in its holster, a full cuirasse with a sheet brass covering and a dragoon helmet with a maille face covering. Visually I wanted to borrow from police forces for the base outfit more than actual soldiers, as that's what their role is in the little lore they have written about them. Purple as a traditionally expensive dye felt best to then complement the black and white traditional to a lot of police officers in Europe, reinforced by the ostentatious bits of kit and the largess of said kit; I don't think most guardsmen get issued a laspistol in other regiments for instance. The helmet's veil is inspired by a costume for a movie production set in India, based on actual armor from there but not fully accurate to it. I came across it back when I played Castle Crashers :y

Concept art of an armored warrior astride a war pig shod in iron and clad in maille. The warrior is covered head to bird-like toe in articulated plate armor embossed with grotesque faces and heat treated to various shades of straw-gold and blue, like some kind of fucked up beetle. They are on top of it all wearing a hussar pelisse over the shoulder, made of ochre fabric with white lacing and the brown pelt of a demon of some description, as well as a thick leather gloves and a matching, wide bicorn hat from which two long tusks are protruding like horns. The warrior is armed with a goedendag they are balancing over their shoulder, which is a large studded wooden club with a spiked head, and carries besides, hitched upon his steed, two wheellock holster pistols, a couple of war darts with broad barbed heads, and an adarga shield. This is all sick as hell.

A large, imposing man wearing a khaki 18th century uniform with green turnbacks red facings and leather patches, topped by a rusty anima breastplate, lots of bone cartridges and a horse's skull. His head is covered by a ghastly face mask covered in blood, attached to a tentpole bascinet fitted with a mitre cap's regimental plate showing a boiling cauldron, and a leather headband; it is overall very tall and pointy. His hands are covered by large leather gloves with metal bucket tops going up to his elbows, with the tops being engraved with skeletons doing a dance macabre. Likewise his legs are covered by thigh high leather riding boots, ending in pointed shoe tips and a wooden clog sole like medieval poulaines, and fitted with spurs. His main weapon is a long wheellock holster pistol which stock was fashioned out of a femur, with its barrel being fitted with a large serving knife's blade. On top of it, he is also carrying three more pistols in traditionally Turkish double holsters, along with a yatagan saber, all with grips made out of bones. He is carrying a severed leg in his free hand.
