It tends to feel condescending to hear "Do it because you enjoy it, who cares about the money?" as an artist, in an age of sky high living costs and A/I garbage taking over everything. Few of us have that kind of luxury.

While it's true that "people can change", remember that it doesn't require you to forgive someone. Nor should forgiveness be the goal of changing for the better - that's just doing the right thing. Nobody should get a pass for doing the bare minimum by making better choices.
