A trick if anyone needs it: I bought some ginger sparkling water, but the carbonation combined with the ginger made me cough so hard I couldn't drink it. Solve: pouring it into a glass, then into a second glass when the head dissolved, and finally back into the first glass flattened it just fine.

I just finished ch 59 of Bleak House, and as distasteful as I find Skimpole, the real villain was the patriarchy all along. 🤬 "People might find out I had sex with my then-fiancé more than twenty years ago? Welp, TIME TO DIE!" I know it's Victorian England, but holy shit, calm down.
