There's still a lot of selective support in the queer and trans community. If a human doesn't conform to one the few carefully defined community stereotypes, then they are forever doomed to the fringes, if lucky.

People ARE protesting. They're taking stands everywhere. The media fails us all by refusing to report on these incidents more fully (or at all), but be sure you're not alone when you act out to defend your beliefs.
