Played a simplified, micro game of 40K using a mix of models and fudging lots of things with my 6 year old today. He had a blast!

Got a Crusade game with my Black Templars today. I’m really digging their crusade mechanics, very on theme and gives you license to be overly dramatic before, during and after a game 😂

AoS/40k table project! Managed to find the Rugged Hills tiles from Terrainify on MyMiniFactory if I paint them in desert/mountain colours like the example image. I should get something that looks good for both games!

Looks like an AoS model has snuck over into 40K and added some squares to his cloak to blend in!

Tournament board layouts are killing the game which sucks because it really doesn’t have to be this way. You can have balanced maps with interesting terrain.

Games Workshop, please I’m begging you, write some simple and flexible Crusade rules for Warhammer 40K.
Each book has some overly complicated mechanic that detracts from the core of Crusade play.
I just wanna play games, contribute to a greater whole and see my guys get stronger.

I think this might be the best painting I’ve ever done. Scrappy grim dark takes time but it fits with my style nicely!

When GW publish stuff like this it makes one thing clear: Gitmob was meant to be a dual AoS/Old World release before stupidity and selling decades old models at 2025 prices took over.

To the shock of absolutely no one Astartes II is still real and is still coming out. Reports of its death by the rage bait grifters were all just a grift.
As usual they were just making stuff up for engagement. They lie to profit from people’s reactions to their corporate fan fiction.

I think the current practice of separating models from AoS, Underworlds, Warcry & Old World, and 40K & Horus Heresy is just plain stupid.
It doesn’t have to be support for each full range. Partial support would be fantastic and play into the two settings being shared worlds.
