Reminder, PIP is because being disabled costs more to just exist in a world where we have different needs than the majority. A lot of disabled people work and are *and should be* eligible for extra help to level the playing field.

Hospital staff: “Can you park your wheelchair in the corner so you’re not in the way.”
One way or another, disabled people are assumed to be “in the way.”

Frankly, being embarrassed to be an American is not at all a new feeling for me, but that feeling has definitely reached new depths.

Today is my sweet son's birthday! He turns 41 today. He is one of the 61 million Americans with a disability. He is a kind, super smart, willing to help people man. We are so proud of him. He is worth everything. If America doesn't take care of our vulnerable we are truly a shit nation. 🦋💙

My dad is like, “Transgenderism is where I draw the line. God made you the way you are for a reason.”
This is the same man that would probably jump for joy if there was a cure for my #cerebralpalsy. He always wished there was something to “fix” me. 🙄

In other news, he doesn’t know I’m trans. 😂

The #disabledcommunity is the only minority you can be forced to join any time. You’re only one illness, one accident away from becoming disabled. CHECK. YOUR. PRIVILEGE.

To those who relentlessly attack disabled people, what makes you think you’re immune from illness or disability? Everyone is one illness or injury away from disability. No-one is immune. One day you could be disabled & on the receiving of stigma, hatred & cruel govt policies.

BREAKING: The government denies it's abandoning people with extreme disabilities by slashing their benefits, pointing out that it's removing the safeguards on assisted suicide to give them a cost-effective way out x

I've even seen disabled people arguing that benefits should be harder to get because they think other disabled people are faking it. Mate this is going to affect you too

I'm sure the Free Speech Warriors are all over this. Oh wait sorry I was huffing paint, I forgot for three seconds that they are craven grifters with less intellectual consistency than Charles Manson getting offered a record deal.

The party that’s always shouting, “But the constitution,” has been awful quiet about their president telling people to report universities that allow protests. They only care about the #firstamendment when it applies to them.

Telling a disabled person who can’t work that they will be punished with if they don’t work… is like saying to an average non-disabled person they will have their pay withheld if they can’t run a 4 minute mile…

Utterly meaningless and impossible to achieve.

"I can't do certain stuff because of my health condition, but I'm not disabled."

girl, yes you are. maybe mildly so, but that's what that word means. you have less ability to do stuff.
