Ceefax Unwrapped telling me the five pages I’ve used most this year:
1) Top 40, numbers 40-31
2) Subtitles for Scooby Doo to see how they spell his dialogue
3) Pic of Len Murray made out of pound signs
4) Subtitles for New Shmoo (see 2)
5) Pic of Norman Willis made out of ampersands

We're watching the wholesale burning of every scrap of dignity afforded to trans people in the UK, their rights, their medical services, their employment, their place within society, their bodily functions.

It is a disgrace, and a disgusting stain on the government and media of this country.

you don't have to love it but if someone with a new baby asks you wear a propeller beanie, you can just do it
A friend with a new baby asked guests to mask in order to hold her baby. A relative refused to mask & broke down in tears about her "restrictions"

As a reminder, babies <6 months have the 2nd highest hospitalization rate from Covid after adults 75+ & are too young to be vaxxed

Daycare has exposed Maeryn to Paw Patrol, and I'm belatedly realising I'm recreating the BBC/ITV household by only having her watch Sesame Street/Bluey/Hey Duggee at home ;)

I kind of love that a cursory image search reveals the truth of my thesis that no matter his age or his fashion, Noddy Holder looks like an Englishman named Noddy Holder.

Don’t want to be too moralistic about this, but it is an active disgrace what people are doing to a profoundly liberational scheme that costs relatively piddling amounts on the basis of a couple of right wing shitposters misrepresenting it on Twitter.

“when 2000AD is sold to Robert Maxwell’s Fleetway in 1988, it’s reportedly selling about 100,000 copies a week”

One thing I think that is interesting in this era is that also was the circulation of Transformers: UK, which probably explains a lot about some of us
