This is the same eugenic belief system that many still hold re: the ongoing pandemic. They believe people’s deaths from covid are acceptable if they’re medically vulnerable. It’s a disgusting ableist belief system and this rhetoric surrounding children in Gaza is the natural consequence of that
I’m kind of speechless with this one. I can’t imagine the kind of person who continues to make the argument that it doesn’t count as real starvation if the kids were already sick.

Just to be clear: these rising rates have nothing to do w RFK nixing boosters (though that's very bad), they're because both Democrats and Republicans have dismantled public health and no one is masking and taking airborne disease precautions.

This book from @brian-goldstone.bsky.social is astonishing: about the millions of working homeless people who are excluded from the (already insufficient) social safety net. 'Evicted', for a decade in which this country is somehow even crueler to poor people than it's ever been. Highly recommended.
