Feel free to continue arguing over the shooter's motives, but please understand that *it doesn't matter*.

There's a organized political movement that plans to suppress, arrest, or kill its political opposition. It it seeking pretexts. Anything will do. If it's not this, it'll be something else.

Yup, now he's going to start cooking the numbers. We are very far down the authoritarian road, this will be the end of trusting any numbers that come out of the BLS (or any other govt institution for that matter, we will see how long the fed holds out). 😞
In case you had any doubt, Trump admits that he’s just firing the BLS commissioner because accurate jobs data made him look bad. Instead of fixing the economy he wants to attack the people who measure it.

And we're officially at the end of being able to trust the jobs numbers in this country ever again.

Wow, who would have thought that slashing government, deporting people, and creating extreme uncertainty (and increased costs) with all the tariff nonsense *might* be bad for the labor market?!?! 🙄 🙄 every economist and everyone with a brain. #economics #trumponomics #recession #tariffs #disaster

Three Yale professors who have written extensively on authoritarianism are leaving the U.S. “We’re like people on the Titanic saying our ship can’t sink,” Marci Shore said. “And what you know as a historian is that there is no such thing as a ship that can’t sink.”
Opinion | We Study Fascism at Yale. We’re Leaving the U.S.
The decision by these three Yale professors to move to Canada is both a warning and a call to action.

US is in its great leap forward era. Or maybe it's the ISI era? Either way, it will go just as well as it did in china and south america. Which is, very badly. #greatleapbackwards #importsubstitution #economicdecline #China #southamerica #USA #era

Your kids get a max of two toys and then grow up to work in the same factory as their father and grandfather screwing in tiny screws. It’s called The American Dream.

This is such a #grievance presidency. What all these people really need is #therapy. Instead of dealing w/ their own insecurity&inadequacy, they decided to take it out on the rest of us. It's the definition of damaged people damaging others, instead of being mature and healing themselves. #love

The stock market is an economic indicator, but its the real economy that actually matters. Declining car sales, decreased tourism, less consumption...that's what matters, and that's what's really painful. And cant be manipulated. Divest, fully. #divest #boycott #realeconomy #stocks

They’re not “deporting” people, they’re kidnapping them and sending them to foreign prisons. Concentration camps. They’re paying these countries to imprison humans. It’s human trafficking.

Here's an updated look at all Trump's 2nd-term tariffs, accounting for today's exemption for phones & computers

The overall US tariff rate is now 25%, down from 29% pre-exemption but still 10x what it was before Trump took office

I didn't see annexation talk of Canada or greenland coming, but:
-screwing Ukraine, abetting Russia
-tariff & trade war
-alienating allies
-ruining economy
-corruption, greed, incompetence
-dismantling democracy, ignoring courts
-illegal detainments/deportations

Was obvious. You voted for this.
