I post grades and constantly recheck to make sure they are still posted and didn’t magically disappear until they are due.
This week I've heard from colleagues both "I post final grades as early as possible so the students can check for any mistakes" and "I post final grades at the last minute so the students don't have time to complain and beg for extra credit."
