Imagine ruining whatever little credibility you have left by supporting the SWP. Imagine choosing that hill to die on rather than all the other bullshit that has come from Your Barely Nascent Party

For the many (arseholes), not the few (trans people)
I hear the YP conference convener just called out someone using 'transphobic' and said they want to keep things respectful

There it is, lads.

There's your party.

One of my main issues being involved in the Greens locally is how little politics is actually discussed. It's so weird for a political party.

A question for police in Bristol: How big does a paper sign need to be exactly to be considered terrorism? 🤔

BREAKING

Hundreds of sign-holders are descending on central locations in towns & cities across the UK today in defiance of Labour’s absurd and unlawful ban on direct action group Palestine Action.

Follow this thread for updates on locations taking part throughout the afternoon!

Yorp conference doing its best to shut down anyone daring to call a transphobe a transphobe.

Seeing Bastani get more and more right wing I do wonder if any of his fans who thought it was 11D chess for him to become a GB News pundit have any regrets now?

I know when they come for different people, academics are one of the groups, but ngl I personally struggle to defend or feel any twinge in my heart for them, cos they're mostly such arrogant pricks. Like am I gonna stand up for you, possibly risk my life, when you're like this?? Being real - NO lol.

I was only posting about this a few days ago but Do They Know It's Christmas is one of the worst songs ever. Borderline unlistenable, saccharine, racist garbage.
What is Britain's favourite Christmas song?

Fairytale of New York: 19%
Last Christmas: 13%
All I Want for Christmas is You: 7%
Merry Christmas Everybody: 5%
Driving Home for Christmas: 5%
White Christmas: 5%
Merry Christmas Everyone: 4%
Do They Know It's Christmas: 3%

Hardly the only time this government has let rightwing online trolls guide policy if we are being totally honest.

This is rooted in the idea that disabled individuals should be "grateful for gruel". It's perception over reality as policy, no matter the way it reinforces the perception. 1/

A controversial opinion in the UK: having a standard emails job then sitting in a house you bought for a song and watching it rise exponentially in value due to political choices that have nothing to do with you is not it fact “working very hard to get what you have”

Hard Work is a fascinating concept to explore.

Comfortables will talk at length about how hard they work and how much they oppose a something for nothing culture then switch to talking about how they've made sure their kids inherit as much as possible.

Tbf given the average K-pop band that are so popular now have about 19 members, I am not surprised looool
The west no longer has the capacity to economically support a band/group
Chris Evans (the English one) said that the 🇬🇧 charts have recently passed the 10 year mark for "no number ones by bands", depending on whether the KPop Demon Hunters are a band or not. Is this "era of the solo artist" a global phenomen?

There's an amazing, if upsetting, display in Buchanan Street about the kids killed in the Gaza genocide - hundreds of kids' socks, and numbers chalked on pavement and street furniture

Most people in the UK really have no idea how extremely difficult it is to navigate the bureaucratic maze that is our healthcare system when you're an asylum seeker. It's a form of slow institutional violence where we effectively withhold healthcare and blame it on asylum seekers' "incompetence".
For asylum seekers with limited English and/or limited prior access to medical care, the process of changing GP is extremely challenging.

Besides which, you might have highly complex healthcare needs, likely including trauma, and so recounting your health issues to new doctors may be triggering.

Do you want to know why so many refugees that kill themselves in the Mediterranean and elsewhere are from Bangladesh?? Despite it not being at war or anything? Because there's no hope. Nothing gets better in that country. Everyone wants to leave, because that's the only way they see life improving.
Really can't stand the whiney little bitch that is Sheikh Hasina's son spouting his poison from India after his horrid family have destroyed Bangladesh and immiserated its people for so many decades.
