Quebec House, Kent, childhood home of General James Wolfe whose victory in Battle of Quebec in 1759 led to creation of Canada. House purchased early 20thC by philanthropist hoping to give it to Canadian people. When this proved too legally difficult, it was bequeathed to National Trust #quebechouse
