Earth just crossed its first climate tipping point: coral reefs. At ~1.2°C of warming, most warm-water reefs are in irreversible decline. This isn’t distant future - it’s now. Every tenth of a degree still matters. 🪸🌍

Carney is asked about this policy in his presser, and he calls it a "very dangerous step."

"We have a Charter of Rights and fundamental freedoms in this country, and it's the responsibility -- in my view -- of the prime minister and of the government of Canada to defend that charter."
Whoa, Poilievre's announcement today:

He would invoke the notwithstanding clause to overturn a Supreme Court ruling and make sure multiple murderers die in prison.

This would make him the first prime minister to override the Charter using the notwithstanding clause.

Can we stop calling these atrocities "deportations." These people sold to El Salvadorian prisons were not deported. Deportation is a process that did not take place. They were rounded up and removed with no process. They were kidnapped, not deported.
