I have books on my shelf right now that are nearly 300 years old. There is absolutely no way that any digital media that exists today will be accessible in 300 years.

Every major Dem politician needs to realize that, in this environment, they can schedule a "speech to the nation," like Newsom did, and get tons of media coverage.

Just do it.

But we'll do it according to the 1830 map of Mexico... Mexicans were settled in these territories before the U.S. The Mexicans living there are in what has always been their homeland."

Kinda funny that MAGA wants us to “get over” January 6th and “look forward not back”, when they still haven’t gotten over the Civil fucking War.

If you're stressing out about tomorrow, there are now over 400 local immigration groups listed on this spreadsheet across all 50 states, DC and Puerto Rico - take a minute, find one near you, and commit to spending an hour volunteering with them.
To mark "Trump will declare a national emergency for mass deportations" day: here is the initial spreadsheet of our crowd-sourced *local* immigration advocacy/support organizations.

Please share widely, put to good use, and keep letting me know about more organizations folks can connect with.

It is truly wild that it is estimated that more than 20 million people died of Covid and the prevailing vibe is that the world overreacted. That is an astonishing toll! More people died of Covid in the US than in the Civil War. www.pbs.org/newshour/hea...

I finished the Briana capelet from Outlander this week (Capa Briana by Katia Alaska on Ravelry). I used 2-1/2 skeins of Patons Classic wool, 2 strands together to make bulky weight. It's a quick/easy knit and very cozy. 🧶 Glass buttons.

With Tintin going into the public domain, I can finally release "The Apartheid Shitheel," in which Tintin investigates cars catching fire, rocketships exploding, and his phone filled with Nazis.
Popeye, Tintin and more will enter the public domain in the new year
