I was just thinking about Alan Rickman only yesterday, how I wished I could have seen him on stage. Now a selection of his memorabilia is going up for auction, and now I wish I had the money to bid for something, especially the Die Hard script with his own notes. www.google.com/url?q=https:...

Some great names I share a birthday with:

Roy Scheider
Richard Burton
Claude Rains
Walton Goggins
Ennio Morricone
Taron Egerton

That’s quite esteemed company to be in, would certainly be a very entertaining dinner party!

Turning 31 tomorrow and it’s a Monday. In the mood for something funny so tonight’s film is:

Vegas’ long straights could suit Red Bull given its speed today and McLaren were well off the pace there last year.

Realistically, Norris is going to be champion, but for Verstappen to still be in the hunt 3 races from the end is testament to his skills. If only the early stages had gone better…

It’s my 31st birthday tomorrow. I think the 2025 São Paulo Grand Prix was a very nice early present. I was dejected after qualifying yesterday but the race more than made up for it. My favourite race in the dry since Imola. If Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi deliver, maybe 2025 won’t be a damp squib

- Arguably Verstappen’s best non-victory race of the season, shame the title’s gone

- Norris impeccable, Piastri crushed

- Brilliant effort from Antonelli

- Gasly, Lawson and Hulkenberg the stars of the midfield

- Ferrari’s 2025 reaches its nadir

- Interlagos always delivers, a fantastic race

@joc1991.bsky.social is bang on. Sky may claim the safety car helped Verstappen but the rest of it is all on his natural brilliance.
This performance from Max Verstappen has been more thrilling than anything I've seen from either McLaren driver this year by a distance. Absolutely sensational. What a talent 👏🏻
November 9, 2025 at 6:30 PM
And there’s the podium for Verstappen. A sensational overtake.
November 9, 2025 at 6:25 PM
Gasly is still behind Hadjar. The two Frenchmen have been nose to tail for lap after lap.
November 9, 2025 at 6:17 PM
And from the pit lane, Verstappen leads the race.
November 9, 2025 at 6:10 PM
Never count out Max Verstappen. Ever. An absolute beast.
November 9, 2025 at 5:38 PM
Safety car! Hamilton has lost his front wing and Bortoleto is stranded at the infield section. This is music to Verstappen’s ears, he can properly join the rest of the field.
November 9, 2025 at 5:06 PM
Verstappen and Ocon in the pits, a resurgent Norris on pole, Hamilton down in 13th and spots of rain in the air. It’s set fair for what I hope is a superb race. #SaoPauloGP

Set up changes and a new power unit mean a pit lane start for Verstappen. No driver has ever won a race from the pits.
NEW: Verstappen to start Brazilian Grand Prix from the pits after more changes to car

Max Verstappen will start from the pit lane instead of his 16th place spot on the grid so Red Bull can make more changes to his car's set-up.

Interlagos nearly always delivers brilliant races and it needs to do so tomorrow. My favourite GP so far has been Australia and that was the curtain raiser all the way back in March. I need an edge of the seat thriller again, to be up on my feet cheering, to remember why I love this sport. 🙏🤞
November 8, 2025 at 7:27 PM
- What a fantastic weekend for Antonelli so far, excellent work

- Verstappen MUST score points tomorrow, he’s too good to be trundling around at the back

- Norris has one hand on the trophy already

- Gasly’s been on it since he hit the track 💪

- The race is either going to be a snoozer or epic.

Congrats to Lando Norris for taking pole, winning the Brazilian Grand Prix and becoming the 2025 world champion.
November 8, 2025 at 6:52 PM
The last time Hamilton didn’t make Q3 at Interlagos was when he crashed in 2017 and started from the pits. On pure pace, 13th is his lowest starting position at the track. This is a really weird qualifying. Like a fever dream.
November 8, 2025 at 6:51 PM
Out in Q2:

11- Alonso
12- Albon
13- Hamilton
14- Stroll
15- Sainz

Another big name goes out as Lewis Hamilton records his worst ever qualifying performance in Brazil, not including penalties. What an odd top ten we’ve got.
November 8, 2025 at 6:48 PM
Almost inevitable that Red Bull will opt to start Verstappen from the pit lane if the weather forecast is dry. They can make set up changes and hopefully give him a better race car because the race needs him to be in the thick of things.
