In 2022-23, 65% of students didn't buy textbooks due to cost, and 25% worked extra hours and 11% skipped meals to afford materials. CMU is leaning on @creativecommons.bsky.social licensed #OER to address this issue – and to engage students. Read more: www.cmich.edu/news/details...

Montana State University’s open educational resources program has saved students $4.5 million in textbook costs since 2019. In addition to cost savings, professors appreciate the ability to edit and customize @Creativecommons licensed #OER to meet students' needs.
