This thread is a great (and terrifying) read. With our kids struggling to learn basic literacy skills and our academics fleeing from budding facism, America's future as an innovator is extremely bleak.
the U.S. government is targeting legal noncitizen scholars, not on the basis of any wrongdoing, but as part of a larger assault against an educated public.

I think what most people don't understand right now is that others don't have to tolerate disrespect in any form. Being nice in person and being hateful and rude online is still disrespectful.

Whenever I say something that triggers a MAGA rant, I often think to myself, "Wow, I must have said something really logical/important/true for them to feel the need to go off on me and attack my character like that." What an honor it is to take up so much space in their day.
