The kid I'm tutoring hit me with "who cares if I do poorly on this test, mum's still gonna pay you", sure, but it would be nice not having my teaching abilities scrutinized because you can't put down your bloody phone for the ten minutes I need to explain something to you.

Oh lord this is the first thing I saw this morning and I still have to put my glasses on, and I'm speechless but I need to stop a random person and talk about the whole composition and THOSE COLOURS AND NOW I'M SCREAMING
Back to my hometown, went to a library and found a copy of Mdzs in my language... Now I get why people were so pissed when it came out, the publisher had even the characters' names translated- everything sounds so weird, Lwj's sobriquet feels like something you'd use to refer to Jesus Christ.

When I want to read something that's not licensed in 🇬🇧 I usually go for some other language I can understand... what troubles me the most is 🇫🇷- for some reason, in my brain everything is suddenly french, and everybody speaks like Inspector Clouseau 🫥

Had a job interview, got offered an outrageously low salary because, to quote the interviewer, "you do need a job, right?"- yup, I do, as opposed to him posting the offer to, I don't know, covertly looking for people to form an Irish dance club, I guess.

Had to dig out what looked like some kind of vase and found a colony of Ants living their best life on the inside, all of them with strong opinions about moving out. Also, another funny finding was that my work gloves apparently had holes, AND that ants bite.
Fantastic experience, 10/10.
