Wales’ basic income pilot for care leavers shows how financial security supports mental health. Reduced anxiety, better social connections, and life choices - all from £1,6k a month. A powerful reminder: Stability matters in early adulthood. #MentalHealth #CareLeavers #SocialJustice
A basic income pilot in Wales focused on care leavers and gave them the support to begin their adult lives that many take for granted.
Care leavers were given free money, no strings attached. Here's what happened

I was very close to the awful incident at the #Liverpool victory parade—witnessed it from a distance and still trying to process what I saw. My heart is with those who were injured, their loved ones, and everyone who witnessed the horror up close. Absolutely heartbroken and concerned.

Well that’s me depressed for the weekend. As Glen acidly observes this looks like a pretty transparent effort to shift blame for coming university bankruptcies onto the institutions. Good luck with selling that to whichever MPs are about to lose their constituency’s largest employer.

In case the impact of gov control over universities on autocratization needs to be any clearer:

The university that issued Turkey's would-be opposition pres. candidate just annulled his diploma. Effectively barring his candidacy.
