Kevin Lee was on the “Ryan Hunter-Reay to McLaren 4th Indy 500 entry” beat like a month or two ago. Trackside remains at the top of the IndyCar podcast power rankings.

The Venn diagram of people saying the Giants should hire John Gruden and the people who said the Yankees should sign Trevor Bauer is a circle.

“In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.”

The decision to sacrifice Ukrainians as disposable, second-class people for the sake of "avoiding escalation" has been an act of strategic idiocy. The consequences are now clear: Russia is more battle-hardened,its drone production is in overdrive, and its desperation makes it more dangerous, not less
On the first day of Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, President Zelensky called NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg from a bunker in Kyiv, pleading for a no-fly zone to stop Russian airstrikes.

He cited NATO’s past interventions in Bosnia and Iraq, but

Genuinely don’t think the institution of the Democratic Party is ready for or expecting the biblical backlash of insurgency that this is going to cause in 2026 primary season

trying to bury this during an NFL Sunday is diabolical
looks like senate dems are folding on the shutdown in exchange for a doomed vote 40 days from now and nothing else

I'm happy from a political standpoint watching Donald Trump and his party forced into debating health care. It's like watching a walrus do quantum physics

The true majoritarian position is one I have held for many years: launch the Senate into the sun. Or, defang it and make it a House of Lords performative non-entity.
one thing i find crazy-making is the idea that getting rid of the filibuster would make congress a purely majoritarian institution. bicameralism itself is counter-majoritarian! equal state representation is counter-majoritarian! the fact that senate elections are staggered is counter-majoritarian!

Who decided it was a good idea for Rutgers to wear red shirts with white helmets and for Maryland to wear white shirts with red helmets? This is hard for me to follow; it must be a nightmare for color blind fans.

Important to note that the 750 kV plants are crucial to Ukraine's civilian power grid. Attacking civilian infrastructure with no clear military objective is a war crime.

Underrated part of Mamdani’s campaign is his unabashed and unapologetic inclusivity of queer people, specifically the trans community. It turns out that woke isn’t over just because an orange circus clown won a plurality of votes in 2024.

And it’s only a mild inconvenience for me because I have the privilege of time and resources to navigate this private bureaucracy. What is radicalizing is knowing that millions of Americans do not have that privilege and have to suffer, delay care, ration Rx, and avoid necessary care altogether.
Nothing radicalizes me more than dealing with private health insurance companies

Neoliberalism needs to be brutally disciplined from the left the way it is currently, at least nominally, being disciplined from the right by fascists and theocrats.
