The Lions have disappointed me so many times over the years, I feel like I've seen every possible way they could lose.

This is a classic Lions game: making a journeyman backup look like an All-Pro in a game sandwiched between two big games.

Welp. It's looking like this won't be the year for my Lions either.

NFL officials back on their usual stuff with the Lions today. A tale as old as time.

This call went for the Lions. And it was also terrible.

"after a second look ... "

Stop me if you've seen this before: officials making questionable calls against the Lions.

I grew up watching Dan Rather with my family right after supper. We'd watch 60 Minutes together as a family after Sunday football. I've enjoyed Gail King & Co. in the mornings with coffee.

I quit all that.

These guys simply can't be trusted to tell the truth.
UPDATE: Per our scoop last night, Suzy Weiss, sister of Bari, did indeed appear on CBS this morning to talk about her recent article in The Free Press.

Second Free Press writer on CBS this week.

I'm not sure if Delta Airlines is on Bluesky. I've been a loyal and frequent traveler on Delta for over 15 years. This year - 2025 - has been the worst year. Customer service responses have gotten worse. I've had mechanical or staffing delays on nearly 40% of my trips this year. Brutal.

Here we go again with the Lions injuries. Two defensive starters down, and two more banged up today.

Remember this? I remember it.

Down the field and gain, a Lions victory!

Welp. It was a great run for the Lions these last few years, guys. I guess it's on to basketball season now.

That Ravens TD was the result of a poor offensive possession by the Lions.

That drive by the Lions was amazing. Dominant.

I thought for a minute that the Lions were going to win the Super Bowl. But now it looks like we'll be competing for draft position.*

Detroit vs Everybody, I guess. Let's go Lions!

I didn't have a chance to sit in my chair and be an irrational fan the last two weeks (because I was either in the stadium or listening in my car). I'll be here tonight, and you can ride the roller coaster with me.

When Michigan and Central Michigan play today, where will Connor Stallions stand? Will he be patched in to both coaches?

I get distracted by this from time to time, but professional conference speakers can forget what it's like to do public speaking occasionally.

I do it often, and I'm nervous every time.

Some of the smartest people I know don't speak the King's English. And some of the biggest jackasses do.
Thought from a week of conferences: If someone uses uptalk or says “like” and “you know” I can’t take them seriously. You can train yourself to speak more confidently and you owe it to the audience.

I gave up on TV news a decade ago. But I made two exceptions: I would regularly watch 60 minutes and I'd usually start my day with a cup of coffee while listening to the headlines on CBS Morning News. I'm a big fan of Gayle King.

But, CBS News is no longer trustworthy.

"He...has endeavored to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes, and conditions."
NEW: In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson listed 27 grievances to prove that King George III was a tyrant. We looked at how many of those now apply to Donald Trump. Have a good Fourth of July and pass this on.

Here are the Declaration of Independence’s grievances against King George III. Many apply to Trump.
It's uncanny.

I co-sign this endorsement of Last Action Hero!

I also didn't know this movie bombed, because all of my friends loved it too.
Tonight I saw LAST ACTION HERO for the first time in my life. And I gotta say: I have sat through many beloved comedies of the ‘80s and ‘90s, some of them very financially successful, that are much, much worse than that. It’s quite entertaining!
