URGENT need! We have a woman whose brakes need replacing immediately. She is a single social worker doing beautiful and important work but not getting paid a living wage. She lives somewhere without functioning public transit.

It’s 5:30 in the evening and I have been painting since this morning. I have started and stopped four different paintings, struggling to get what was hurting in my body out of it.
This is where I landed.

I’ve never lived on the street, but I have been homeless. I’ve been one step away from having nothing.
I lived out of motels, crashed on couches, and slept on a cot in the back of someone’s home. I’ve stayed in houses with no power or water and lived off stale croutons and dry cereal.
