i think James hilmself is a decent role model in the sense that he puts real life (ie his wife and kids) first over petty internet shite
like if he were to retire tomorrow, I’d say he more than earns it at this point more than anyone else

Like, just because there's people out there who think the AVGN is a role model and not a character and think being angry at old video games is super important doesn't mean it's not an entertaining and fun show, that is occasionally informative about fun bits of gaming history.

not many people seem to remember but back in 2013-14 people were already saying the market was oversaturated with way too many indie games that are pixel art/sidescollers etc, before juggernauts like hollow knight, stardew valley, undertale, night in the woods, rainworld etc ever graced the horizon
If you're an indie developer, you should hang this screenshot on your wall and use it as inspiration to never give up
