“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

- Theodore Roosevelt
Saudi Arabia is horrible. Horrible geography, horrible government, horrible ruling family and a sizable percentage of horrible citizens. If it weren’t for the oil they would still be living in stone huts.

This is fucking disgusting.

So Trump pushes GOP states to gerrymander themselves into one-party rule and then when other states respond, his DOJ sues them and them alone for it. Gimme a break.

These people are such embarrassments and bring such shame upon the US government.

All I want for Christmas is for David Jolly to run for Florida Governor.
Listen, once you get me talking about change coming to Florida, it can be hard to get me to stop. Thank you to the Polk County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Hillsborough Democracy Builders Society for being a part of this important conversation.

Florida's next!

File under ‘Things That Make You Go HHMMM’.
You would think that the 8 GOP Senators who are SO OUTRAGED that Jack Smith subpoenaed their phone records that they want $1 million compensation would bring him in to testify IN A PUBLIC HEARING to explain why he did this. But no, they don’t want to do that. I wonder why?

Senator Tuberville’s claim, as asserted, is verifiably, categorically false.

In Tommy’s defense, it has been established that he is too stupid to understand this.

Funny, isn’t it?

Per chance to dream.
At this point we have to assume that if the Epstein files are released they will
- end the Trump Presidency
- implicate many other prominent Republicans
- destroy the careers of AG Bondi and his other defenders
This is beginning to feel like the greatest scandal in American history.
Trump has done enormous harm to the country.
He is a deeply corrupt and venal man.
He is wildly unpopular, his agenda more so. He's lost the consent of the governed.
He is old, infirm & clearly no longer mentally competent to run a nation.

It is time now to start talking about him moving on👇

Can’t vouch for the factual basis but, as Stephen Colbert would remark, it has a certain ‘truthiness’ to it.

Language buried in this shutdown “deal” allows 8 GOP Senators who tried to throw a coup, sue to get millions in taxpayer money—because Jack Smith got their phone records. THEY TRIED TO THROW A COUP. There is no excuse for any Dem supporting this. This is absolutely wrong. Full stop—Period.

I need you all to know that my mother sent me this. 🤣 That is all.

I say good. I’m on the fence about the Democrats shutdown deal. Not sure how much Schumer was involved but I firmly believe it’s time for him to go.
Mark Kelly notably declines to endorse Chuck Schumer as the leader of Senate Dems going forward

This really is true.
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Sorry Senator. Your cloture vote says otherwise.
Shaheen: So let me be clear. No one in the senate chamber wants to extend the ACA tax credits more than I do.

▫️Walmart's net profit (end of 1/25): $19.44B

▫️$3.00/hr raise would reduce or eliminate SNAP for some but, it wouldn't make it uneeded for all ⬇️ income individuals or families

The real irony in this satirical comment? I can actually hear Jonathan Turley saying this or something damn close to it.
There is nothing in the Constitution that guarantees a right to eat food. So it's hard to understand why the Democrat Party thinks the SNAP issue is a political winner.
