Can we just give Novak the Miami open title now? Like just give it to him now to appease him and get it over with. It could be like a sacrifice to an ancient tennis god. Y’know like you give the god a gift and they leave you alone for a little while. Something like that

I love that Fritz just really likes competing. I love that he appreciates the smaller tournaments and gives them and all his opponents the care and effort they deserve. I have a lot of respect for him for this

When native English-speaking tennis commentators pronounce Alcaraz like “Al-ca-rathhh” with a hard “th” it kinda has the same vibe as an american college student studying abroad in Spain for a semester and coming back and telling everyone “um it’s actually pronounced BARTH-elona”

Tommy Paul confuses me a bit. When I watch him play, I think he’s so good and I’m like dang he should be winning everything all the time (or at least be a serious contender for every title). But… he’s not. Why is he not???

Just sitting here thinking about how I still cannot believe drake thought it was a good idea to start beef with Kendrick Lamar. Thee Kendrick Lamar. Renowned Pulitzer Prize winning artist and certified boogeyman Kendrick Lamar. Like… literally anyone could’ve told him that was a horrible idea

Watching Montpellier and the commentator was talking about the depth of talent in american tennis right now and she goes “the present is strong and the future is bright in the US!” and then paused for a second and went “…as far as tennis goes” lmaooo

This was, and I’m not exaggerating, one of the best days of my life. My parents surprised me with Arthur Ashe stadium us open tickets for my bday and I cried when I got them lol. I got to see Madi and Federer win back to back and I was so happy that I cried again during their matches 🙃
I know this is silly but Madi was the first pro player I ever got to watch live, so I’ve always felt connected to her. It’s like she was the first pro who ever felt real to me. It was like she invited me into this world. To watch her get to this point is just… idk I’m an emotional wreck today
The American upset two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka 👏

And this is unfortunate. How is this better than just letting Ground Passers in to watch? Even if a mistake was made there must be a better remedy than FOUR home players in a FINAL playing in an empty stadium. The Stadium ⬇️ #AusOpen 📷: The First Serve AU
When a single billionaire can accumulate more money in 10 seconds than their employees make in one year, while workers struggle to meet the basic cost of rent and medicine, then yes, every billionaire really is a policy failure.

Coco!!! I’m really getting to that point with her where if she goes down a break or even a set, I don’t get super nervous anymore. I’m so increasingly confident in her ability to win matches
