Just got my MMR booster to protect my baby nephews, my hospital patients, and my community from the measles outbreak. Nurse said she had just ordered more doses because so many people were asking for it. Get yours! #vax #mmr

10 months ago I stopped half-marathon training to rest a painful ankle

8 months ago I did a short test run and the pain exploded

6 months ago an MRI showed a torn ankle tendon

4 months ago I had surgery

3 months ago I started PT

And now I went for my first run/walk! Overjoyed and grateful.

Has anyone in the last year of SFF worked so hard, brought so much freshness to the field, and done it all in better humour than Casella? You will be hard pushed to find them. Thoroughly deserved.
Honored and delighted that both @mealofthorns.bsky.social and @ancillaryreview.bsky.social have made the Hugo lists this year.

What’s your stress level? Mine is, “While falling asleep plan what you’d put in your go bag if you were being bombed like Gaza, make a mental note to stock up on iodine tablets for the inevitable cholera epidemic due to EPA rollbacks, and wonder if you’re up to date with your measles vaccine.”

I must say, the garbage truck noisily driving up right next to the sanctuary in the middle of service is the ideal Ash Wednesday vibe.

Nibling currently scream crying about not wanting to wake up from a nap. In all fairness, that’s what I want to do every time my alarm rings.

The face that just climbed a flight and a half of stairs without a crutch.

I mean, the face attached to the body that is connected to the legs that climbed the stairs. The face didn’t climb the stairs.

Did the think where I reach out the car window to catch the wiper at its apex and *thwack!* the ice off and I feel so adult and is that really all it takes?
