Guillermo del Toro on wealth: "a wealthy man is a man who has enough, not a man that needs more. If you have enough to invite someone for a beer? You're rich. If you have a yacht, planes, islands, and you still need more? You're not rich."

I've only seen a few episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I just don't like it and I don't get the appeal, yet I used to play it at primary school with like every other kid in my class, but I had no idea who my character was or what I was meant to be doing, but that was still entertaining.
Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

I once had to share my screen with IT, and he told me I needed to close my tabs to restart Chrome, so I said I'd have to call him back because I had a million tabs open with different research articles that I didn't want to lose, so I spent the next 20 mins favouriting the URLs 😂
No it seems *you've* got over 1600 tabs open in one of your windows

Danish director Viggo Larsen is one of my favorite new discoveries. He worked in every genre but my favorites are his fresh and witty comedies.

A NEW HAT FOR THE MADAM (1906) satirizes the craze for giant hats and hobble skirts as a fashionable woman terrorizes Copenhagen with her huge chapeau.

I’m so excited to go to Belfast tomorrow on a PhD trip! Planning places to visit with the other PhDs. I’ve just organised a PhD trip to the Tower of London in June too, and I’m attending a PhD visit to York later this month. I love #PhDLife and I’m gonna miss it when it’s over!
