I’m sort of getting the hang of Dorico. I’m not disliking it as much as I initially did.

I played my baritone saxophone the other day for the first time in a long time. Man, I forgot how awesome that instrument is.

Happy birthday to Sigurd Raschèr. Here’s an excerpt from Lars-Erik Larsson’s (who was also born on this day) saxophone concerto.

Rest in peace M. Londeix. Thank you for all of your contributions to the saxophone. This photo was taken in the summer of 2010 following my last lesson with JML at his home in Bordeaux.

I’m looking into getting a second clarinet mouthpiece. I own a Walter Grabner, which I love, but after a near mishap with it the other day, I’m nervous about not having a backup. He doesn’t produce them anymore, so I’m looking for options. Thinking of trying a Ramon Wodkowski piece. Thoughts?

I’ve been listening to some smooth jazz/fusion lately. I forgot how good some of it is!

Using Dorico (as a Finale user since the ‘90s) is very unintuitive. I feel like a grown adult trying to relearn how to ride a bike, but with training wheels on.

I’m considering purchasing a subscription for Adobe Audition, but I also do some video work. Is it worth going all out for all of the Adobe Creative Cloud Apps?
