This looks utterly compelling but will be a tough watch for me as a person who has struggled a great deal with my bipolar. It's cost me so much, on a personal level. But this sounds like an outstanding achievement in documentary filmmaking.

I sort of understand why happy escapist bullshit dominates the cultural landscape at the moment, and the notion that expressing joy is a political act in dark times. But I also hope doomer / depressive / transgressive aesthetics come back before I'm too old to make new art.
