Political violence and threats are not the answer.

This is a watershed moment — we can choose to stay silent and live in fear, or we can choose to be loud for peace and compassion.

We must work together to stop this crisis, and it should start from the top with the President.

Marvin Gaye releases his “In the Groove” LP today in 1968, which included his version of “I Heard It Through the Grapevine”.

Producer Norman Whitfield had Gaye sing higher than his normal range. “Had I done it myself,” Gaye said, “I would not have sung it at all like that.”

Is this building into something?

If you’re in DC, they’re encouraging folk to come down there & support.

'Battleground for the soul of this nation': GOP infighting threatens longtime Republican
Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX), who is gearing up to run in the upcoming GOP Texas primary and has privately argued to White House political advisors that he is the sole candidate capable of winning both the primary and the general election, says Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) is "scrambling to rewrite history." Hunt argued Cornyn was ready to “move on” from Trump after the 2020 election, CNN reported Sunday. Hunt, 43, won his Houston-area House seat in 2022 ALSO READ: Chaos as Montana GOP kicks 9 senators out of the Republican Party “Now, [Cornyn] is scrambling to rewrite history — hoping voters will forget he ever turned his back on the very movement that built our momentum and delivered the majority for Republicans, specifically the Senate,” Hunt said. Republicans are reportedly growing worried about the Texas primary, which poses a risk to Cornyn, one of their longest-serving senators. Senate Republican leaders have privately requested Trump support Cornyn, who has held his position for over twenty years and narrowly missed out on becoming Senate majority leader last fall. Hunt, whose latest remarks indicate he could run against Cornyn, went on to say that the United States Senate is not a retirement community. "It’s a battleground for the soul of this nation,” he added. ALSO READ: 'Blunt political reality': Republican leadership won't be ditching Trump anytime soon “And in times like these, President Trump doesn’t need fence sitters — he needs warriors," Hunt continued. Republicans' concern is that this expensive intra-party dispute could greatly affect the upcoming midterm elections, which is why they are counting on Trump to step in and help address the issue. For many years, Texas has consistently been among the most conservative states in the U.S. While there has been a slight shift towards Democrats in recent presidential elections, Trump won the state comfortably in 2024, raising doubts about the likelihood of Texas turning Democratic in the near future. As Democrats prepare for a potentially challenging Senate race in 2026, Texas is one of the few states that Trump won by a significant margin that the party hopes to make competitive next year.
