I agree with Rand Paul. We shouldn't blow up boats unless we know what's on them.

That Malcolm Jamal Warner news is a real gutpunch. What a shame. Whatever you feel about THE COSBY SHOW now, Theo was a huge important cultural character and MJW always played him perfectly. I am so sorry for what his family must be going through right now. Tragic.

"Lynchian" is a fully realized and instantly comprehensible adjective, as concrete a one-word summation of an artist's aesthetic and worldview as has ever been associated with any artist in any medium. Things will forever be Lynchian, but there was only one David Lynch. #RIP

Bob Uecker hit .200 over six years as a backup catcher and turned that into 10 television shows, six movies, a fairly regular spot with Johnny Carson and 54 years calling games for the Brewers. That's quite a life.

David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.
